This book sorry you are not my type in my shelf for a long time and never had a chance to read it. Finally i have decided to give a tick for it. The book is written by renowned author sudeep nagarkar, who is well known for his simple writing.It is published by Random publishing house and bought it for Rs.175.
I have listened his interview most of his story are from real life. This is my first book of his many. You don’t need an vocabulary skill to read this book or need the dictionary help to read difficult words.
Book review: The plot of this book is very simple yet presented in a interesting manner . Aditya and Sakshi are best friends work different place. After two long year met in famous restaurant Delhi, where the discuss about their life. Aditya surprised to see Vikrant who is the senior in the same college. He played guitar in the restaurant, which is his source of income . When Aditya confronted Vikrant, he reveal them the story of popular music band VAYU which was famous in Delhi circuit. At the end of the day, Life of aditya and sakshi will not be same anymore. As Vikrant narrated the story, it makes the reader travel in to it. Yuvi, vikranth and anamika formed a band called VAYU. Vikranth just like anamika through the sport quota got admission in rajhans college , Delhi university. Vikranth is tall, handsome, gives priority for his friendship. Vikranth accidently see a girl in metro on the way to college and smitten by her beauty want to propose her. But his fear of rejection stopped him from doing it. Vikranth sadly keep his personal feeling with himself.
I like vikranth characterisation and his relationship with other character. The writer must really enjoy sketching his character as it is full of positive which create interest among reader to read.
Anamika is extremely bold girl as well hold tradional value , and doesnt intimidate about judgemental opinon. Although she suffered a lot in her young age she would overcome all the hindrance with her confidence which is reason many consider her role model. Being as a dancer, she always fantasized about dreaming big . As her name in the selected list of the cultural list, she is head over heals but she wont perform alone as her team member Vikrant and Yuvi. Anamika met them and immediately developed friendship with them. It is yuvi who come with the name of VAYU for the music band. As much as they attend the college, they focused on the music performance which strengthen the harmony among them. Although she had phobia for ragging, which is common among those days she hangout with the senior anurag, who is well known for his play boy character. Anamika promised Yuvi as it wont affect the VAYU which was gained lot of attention among the student community. Later they accept her, when they get to know about her sister ‘s death due to ragging.
I am really annoyed with her character but after her back story. she has my sympathy . She is the contemporary indian girl who inspires lot of girl.
When anurag advance his approach towards anamika , she felt disturbed and eluded from that place. After rejection the Anamika, Anuraj developed hatred towards her. Anurag got anger when he knows anamika who used him for covering her ragging phobia. Finally, VAYU all set to perform for the cultural event, Anurag created havoc while they performing in the stage which made the student community disrupt their performance. Is it end of VAYU ? After the calamitous caused by anurag, both vikranth and yuvi not pleased as anamika around them. When anamika try to explain the situation to them, yuvi shrugged out. Vikranth listened her side of story and pleased with anamika.
Did vikranth help them in bringing back to the band ? What happened to anurag? What kind of role sakshi and aditya has to play ?
