Psycho Is directed by myskin one of the acclaaimed director of tamil Industry, known for his flim making and camera angle.It is an 18+ movie, as it has nudity, gory and killing, which makes movie not for general audience.It is all about a psycho set loose free in the street and goes on killing spree.
From the teaser and the trailer , the audience get to know the mood of the movie , it not suited for the pregnant women and childern, as it a slasher movie ( first in the tamil cinema) .Myskin previous movie thupparivalan (tamil sherlock holmes ) and pisasu (horror movie) has earned critically acclaimed and box office number, but this is pure thriller genre scene. Before the release many may expect movie has some similarity of the ratchasan but it is no way related to it.
Udhyanidhi stalin has both hits and flop in his career, but he choosed this script wisely as he suppose to act in yudhamsei but his wish only fullfilled in psycho.His acting skill imporved a lot over a years especially in the movie many scene audience may belive he is actually blind, in a scene where he drive car from the instruction from the singampuli and his thrive for saving his lover, emoted very well.Hope after this , many director may comeup with good script for him. Nithya menon played a important character in the movie as kamala, sits in a wheeling chair through out the movie and also bring laughter in this serial killing movie.Her humour is sure watchout for the audience who watch the movie and in the serious scene also her acting skill is top notch.Aditi rao( multi language actor)is vanity beauty , even in the panic room, her face is brighter than the yellow light.
The killer go on human hunting kills girl , when they are found , he kills prostitue and then there is udhayanidhi proposes aditi rao. When she is about to accept her love, psycho appear from nowhere and abduct aditi and put in the room , which is full of blood strain .The killer about her, she inform him , gautham will save her , so he gives 7 day time.Then cat mouse game, whether gautham uses his intelligence to find aditi and save her or not ? Is the rest of the movie.
Killer motive is not explained properly and how he becomes the chairman of the hotel is not shown.Director ram acted as police officer in the movie does not add any value to the script and he dies for no reason. As an audience i cannot connect with this scene , when a police goes to find a killer he has to intimate the offical.Killer kills too killing , some audience get bored of killing and people in the theayre hall strated yawning in the second half.The person acted as psycho is terrorize the audience when he stab a girl with a screw driver in the neck repeatedly.
Verdict : It is a gore movie , only for adult .First half of the movie is engaging and second has really slow down the phase of the movie.The movie open with a tribute to alfred hitchcock but still classic psycho is good compared with this slow screenplay.
